This is NOT a rip off. What an incredible reissue this Electric Warrior is.

I agree with everybody about the T.Rex Electric Warrior reissue. As I stated in an earlier post, I stayed away from earlier Rhino reissues because of reviews of muffled sound quality. I just got the new Kevin Gray analogue cut and I'm pleased as punch. I've never really paid close attention to this LP before, only knowing Jeepster and of course Bang A Gong. But I really, really liked the record. The sound was just fantastic. I can't recommend it enough. This one is a must buy and will probably be the gold standard of this year's wave of Rocktober releases.

just finished spinning mine and it has a bit more clarity to it than my original fly copy. not quite as "punchy" in some spots, but man oh man is this good. definitely picking up a backup in case word gets around and this goes OOP.

That T. Rex is one of those unexpected gems Rhino has released with their new "pre-RSD" special vinyl campaigns this year. The John Prine S/T from the Start Your Ear Off campaign was another killer AAA from KG. For me, these Rhino special releases are more exciting than RSD.

Can't tell by the hype sticker - is Electric Warrior a limited release like the other Rocktober LP's?

That is great news, thanks! I had no idea B&N would ship to the UK. Ordered!

Rhino did a nice job with the second ZZ Top album too a few years ago.

Hopefully an original on Fly or Cube is easier to find in Europe.

I've ordered a few things to Canada from them, the shipping cost was reasonable,
hopefully you have the same luck!

Has anyone heard the Jane's Addiction or Velvet's releases and care to comment on the mastering and pressing quality?

Now, this is something that makes no sense to me... that it’s a limited release. Why isn’t it just the regular catalog release? When these run out, people will get stuck with the lousy older version? Baffling.

But is it perhaps not limited, or not as limited? The hype sticker reminds me of the one for Yes's Fragile, also mastered by Kevin Gray, that I managed to buy over a year after its release?

I assume that all vinyl reissues are essentially limited, but there's "limited" as in gone in 3-5 years, and there's "limited" as in sold out in three months. Love It To Death says "Limited Edition", this one apparently doesn't.

FYI: there is a 20% off member appreciation sale going on now until Sunday at Barnes & Noble. It's in store only, though.

Whoever loaded the info. says it was a George Marino, but this many re-releases seems like the explanation to me.
Interesting, as my first vinyl purchase from here, in our classifieds, was an original of this, from @Cassius. Still happy with that, personally.

Yeah, but Barnes and Noble doesn’t have it yet. At least that’s what it said on their web site yesterday. Preorder for the 31st...so you can’t use the coupon.

It's in all the stores in my area according to the B&N website.

Very tempted by the upcoming Alice Cooper – Pretties For You. I've never had a good copy of that, always find them used that have been chewed to bits or sounding like they've been stored with gravel in the sleeve.
