True...I just think his 10 years in Wings should be recognised, solo or as part of that band.

I would not be surprised to see Boz Scaggs nominated the next few years.
    Overlooked.

But he is the best songwriter on the list by a wide margin.

I love their two albums and three hits, but that's not a large body of work, nor a particularly influential one.

Ian Anderson considers this to be an American award, so he really doesn't care.

What does Radiohead and Roxy Music fall under? I'm not a prog guy so maybe I'm off base.

They should have been in way back when. Around the time The Yardbirds were inducted which was 1992 I believe.

If they're going to nominate Roxy Music they should also nominate Kate Bush. Both are one hit wonders in America. Actually, so is Kraftwerk. Of course, I've complained how the HOF always gave short shrift to groups that were a lot more successful at home than here.

    Radiohead will be inducted.
Kraftwerk will prob. be passed due to the other artists on the roster.
Prob. get nominated again next year.
The HOF wants them in. They’ve been nominated before

Stevie Nicks' nomination reeks of behind the scenes machinations to boost sales for the new Fleetwood Mac tour. She's been eligible but never nominated for 12 years.

Well, at least Todd produced GFR, so there's that.

Kate Bush was nominated last year.
Surprised she wasn’t on this years list

They didn't just put in Jeff Lynn with no ELO. No way Ian gets in without Martin and some dead bass players and disgruntled drummers.

The Cure for sure. I like DEVO too, but between the two, I would vote for The Cure

Their body of work encompasses more than the hits and Odyssey and Oracle.
    They were very influential.

Are the Pet Shop Boys not rock & roll enough?

Shakin Stevens sold more U.K singles in the 80's than anyone else...maybe he's not cool enough.
