Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2018

Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2018 is now just over a month away. After not having attended the event for several years it looks like I'll probably make it this year. I'm looking forward to escaping the Nevada desert for several days and taking in the vibe of the "mile high city".

As I'm seeing a light at the end of the tunnel vis a vis paying off my new cartridge it's time to do some ground work regarding my next audio purchase which should take place sometime in 2019. So I'll be checking out the audio servers by the likes of Aurender, etc.

Of course, I'll also be scoping out the music vendors tables.

So, is anyone else planning on attending? Anyone in the hunt for that next addition or upgrade to the music rig?

Rocky Mountain Audio Fest - High-end Consumer Audio Show

 

I always attend.Exactly how many exhibitor’s rooms I’ll visit-not sure though.

 

I'll be going for sure on Saturday. I have a couple rooms and venders I want to chat with. After that just going to browse at what I can't afford.

 

I'll be there all three days. Should be interesting and fun.

 

I’m also heading up from the Valley of the Sun, it will be my third time attending. Looking forward to checking out as much as I can as well as the cool weather.

I wonder if I'll be able to pick up a copy of the Jimi Hendrix - Axis: Bold As Love SACD when I'm there.

 

Was hoping to hit the Odyssey Room. Not sure if he will be there.

My car literally burned to the ground so i can’t go (not that I could get the time off anyway).

 

I'll be there at least a day, but hopefully two. Always a good time.

 

I will be there Wednesday to very early Monday morning. Hoping to tour the new facility for PS Audio.

 

I'll be there all three days, followed by a couple days in Estes Park. I'll mainly be checking out speakers, my top interests being Revel F228Be, Focal Kanta No 2 and 3 andAria 936, Magico A3, Canton, Legacy Audio, Elac, Paradigm Persona, and others.

Thanks for reminding me. I'm set as far as loudspeakers go, but I do want to hear those A3 towers.

 

I was just in Estes today and rocky mountain national park. I'm just down The Big Thompson Canyon (34) in Loveland.
The Elk are starting to show up more now that its almost fall.

that sounds like an interesting set-up ... i've always loved the look of Rethm speakers -- those are the ones that retail for ~ $11K, right? given your history, i am sure it will sound amazing!

The show opens at 9am on Saturday, so I'm thinking maybe 8:30-ish.

 

8:30ish sounds good to me. I can head out at 7 and make it in good time.....as long as traffic is light.
