It was to be true too, that is until you acquired the Japan SACD flat transfer. LOLOL

I'm still loving my FLAC download of Brussels - at $9 it's probably the best bang for the buck in my entire collection :righton:

I'd rather they release both shows, rather than a vinyl.

I think we would have seen/ heard some indication by now if it was.

If I'm remembering correctly (and comparing versions bears this out) Jagger remixed the the tracks when the BBC (or King Biscuit) rebroadcast the concert. That remix was mastered much hotter than the original version. I'm at work so I can't check the files but I believe it was at that point that those tapes were first "brick walled", although later mastering surely added to the compression.

Sometimes they are correct. I am not sure about the source for this post but there is someone over there that works on the Stones vault releases and has posted about them in the past and been correct.

Brussels is fantastic. Why can't I purchase the vinyl for $25?

Yes the download FLAC is nice (but the mix is not quite right)

    Here is a remixed HiRes snippet from vinyl;

Thanks to a good friend, I finally heard the official version this past summer. It is probably one of the last truly great Stones concerts. It was the end of the tour and they clearly were hot. They seemed to get some of this energy back during the Stripped tour.

The download (which is what I have) sounds amazing. Flat and dynamic. I guess this must be the flat master before the Masher got his hands on it?

Brussels Affair was the only from the vault series that I didn't own until today. I have a sealed LP/CD set on the way priority mail. I've been wanting this one for a long time. It's a very good Saturday.

I agree with @John Fell . One of the best Stones Vault releases. Everyone is on fire and gives it their all at this show.

I am not seeing this release on Amazon, only the monsterously priced Brussels box set. Is there an official vinyl and/or CD release now available of Brussels?

My problem with this release is wrong show used for 90% of the songs - and compression levels beyond where vinyl would improve things much, and Japanese deluxe turned out to be compressed even more.

Seems original lossless download was as good as it got for thus release of the show. I'd love a Chinese issue version to fill that spot in my collection. For now, I go to my King Biscuit masters mainly when I want a jolt of electric Stones '73, but that's just me I know.

The monstrous price box that you already mentioned and the Japanese release that appeared in 2015. Contains the Marquee Club Live 1971 (Blu Ray or DVD cd) and Brussels Affair 1973 (2 cd set)
catalog number GQXS-90009/12 / Ward Records (blu ray Marquee)
catalog number GQBS-90009/12 / Ward Records (dvd Marquee)

It appeared as a limited edition only in Japan.

Note: Apologies for the monstrous size of the images, for the actual monstrous price the apologies are courtesy of Ward Records Japan (I paid at the time US$ 87.68 plus shipping costs)

It was an ebay purchase. I believe it's long OOP. Except for the release by Ward from Japan that's CD that was mentioned earlier. I was fortunate to find this version still sealed. It wasn't cheap but I've seen them go for more than what I won this one for.

Thanks, well if the ever reissue this on vinyl (as we obviously deserve) I'm in as long as it's around $34.99. A CD version should also be available for $9.99. Until then I guess all I've got is my $5.99 MP3 purchase...

Thanks. It seems like a pretty odd choice to release it as a specialty item with a limited number of copies as it's some of their best live material. The wait continues.
