I just noticed this on Facebook today.

If you were, we have a special request. Daniel Gallagher (Rory's nephew) is currently working on a box set anniversary edition of IRISH TOUR '74, complete with never released tracks from those historic concerts in Dublin, Belfast, and Cork. Daniel hopes to include with the package a booklet of photos, and scans of ticket stubs, posters and other memorabilia from those concerts. So if you have any memorabilia from those shows and would like them included in the Irish Tour box set let us know! Send us a message and tell us what you got!

Here is the Cork set list

    Messin' With the Kid
    Cradle Rock > Band Intros
    I Wonder Who
    Tattoo'd Lady

He rarely played any Taste songs did he, would have loved to hear that band rip through Sinner Boy or Blister On The Moon etc. this box set will be an auto buy for me too.

With this and the Allman Brothers Fillmore box set, it is shaping up to be a good year. Now if they would issue the Kinks Lola deluxe edition, it would be great.

I wish I could locate the other set lists to see if they are the same.

FYI The site where I found the Cork set list says the show was spectacular! :righton:

Is the recording of this album sub-standard? The CD copy I heard was terrible. Nice album apart from that.

I have the original double LP on the Polydor label that was mastered by Bob Ludwig and it sounds awesome. I will be looking forward to this release to see how it compares.

Interesting - I wonder what went wrong with the CD mastering? The copy I had was the original silver cover, not the latest Eagle mastering.

Killer considering the challenges of recording live, another masterful job by Mr. L.
No need to replace my vinyl but will listen for the unreleased stuff.

I think they still must be gathering things, figuring out what to use from the fans & how, etc. I'd imagine it would be about a year or so until the package is ready for sale (? just guessing) and it is still in its design infancy.

I just saw a thread on this the official Rory forum. According to that Daniel is already working on it and it could be out this Fall.

No, the thread didn't get into those details. I'll see if I can get an inside scoop & permission to elaborate, if so I will post about it here.
