Johnny now has the most sitcom experience of anybody in the cast!

I imagine the reason for David’s rather dishevelled appearance was so it didn’t seem like Leonard Hofstadter was crawling in Darlene’s window.

He did an excellent job reigniting “David” as well. He’s excellent on this show. The show is allows us back into the Conner family after 20 years. I’m enjoying every episode more than the last.

Great episode last night. It was very close to the old show. David and Roseanne's mom were so great.

She looked like she hadn't aged a day to me.

Yeah, I was about to say... She looks like she's in her early 70's. She must be taking good care of herself.

The ending of the show was awesome last night, I almost teared up. I feel like I know these characters after watching them so much through the years. Magic last night. Bev really was awesome, happy to see her doing well. They looked to have enjoyed making her scenes. I'm also glad they are giving Jackie some funny lines.

I think the point is that he gets a line in the episode and exits because he’s an awful actor. That way he is included in the reunion, hangs out with all the people he grew up with, and gets well payed for each episode, but doesn’t sabotage it for the professional actors and Roseanne.

    * sorry...someone unthread made my point for me.

I still think Beverly (Estelle Parsons) hasn't aged a day. :)

Is anyone going to watch the mini marathon Tuesday? I'll probably skip, but only because I plan to get the eventual DVD for my permanent home video collection. Then again, I've enjoyed my Tuesday evening routine again so much, I just may watch.

Lecy Goranson is no Meryl Streep, but I have to say she's showing some unexpectedly decent comedic timing on this revival. She had the best line in this most recent episode: "Because I have a drinking problem."

Yeah, she's holding her own with Sara which wasn't the case when they were younger.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) there won't be a new episode but starting at 8 PM Eastern / 7 Central they'll be airing the episodes "Twenty Years To Life", "Dress To Impress", "Eggs Over, Not Easy", and "Darlene v. David" if you missed any of them or want to see them again.

The next new episode will air on May 1st and here's the title and summery:

    "No Country for Old Women"
New, 5/01/2018, Comedy, Classic, Situation Comedy
After Beverly is dismissed from the nursing home, Roseanne and Jackie fight to decide who will take care of their mother; Mark's unique way of building a birdhouse for Dan's customer is too much for Dan, but Darlene defends her son.

The "B" subplot sounds a lot more interesting than the "A" plot to me. Hmm...

Didn’t they do the A plot in the original series?

I think she threatened it when they asked for money for the Lunch Box.

The Jackie-Bev dynamic was always one of my favorite parts of Roseanne, so I'm very much looking forward to the next episode!

I kind of doubt we'll see him but it would be cool if we got a cameo from Chuck (James Pickens Jr.). For those of you who have no idea who that is, he was one of Dan's poker buddies and he's the coolest one of the bunch of minor characters. :)

Wasn't it confirmed he will appear on 1 episode?

The episode where Dan and Chuck go into business and then get into a fight is a good one. "I wish I had a wife that would carry me..."
