Anyone have any info on this vintage turntable? I am saving money for other audio equipment but this tt is available to me in pristine condition and I always wanted a nice vintage TT. Is this worth getting? What is too much money for this turntable? I am currently using the Orbit plus that I was going to upgrade the cartridge. Thanks for your help.
$175-300 on Ebay. Should be a very nice table with belt drive, heavy platter, and decent tonearm. My brother has a SR 4040 which he does not use. When he did use it, it sounded great.
FR-3060: nice TT, solid build. $200 with original headshell. All in nice shape. $225 if it has a good cart. Don't know about belts... if replacements are available??
I had the FR-3080 and I regret selling it, it was a nice table. I wouldn't give much more than 150 or so for the 3060.
Looks like I am getting it. Any recommendations on cartridges? It looks like it comes with a yellow Audio technica. I lean towards the warm and neutral side of the spectrum. Id like to stay within 200
I think I'll put on a Shure M97xe. I've read many great things about it. There are also shibata options for more details extraction. I think its worth the experiment.
