I agree. An obvious excuse to bring back Amy and other cast members so that the show does not look too different.

Disappointed that Tim Robinson, who I thought was one of the strongest new cast member in years, has left the performing cast to focus on his writing duties for the show...

Outside of that "Z Shirt" sketch when Keven Hart hosted, he made no impact upon me.

The show was good. No sketches fe particularly flat, but I didn't enjoy the historical inaccuracies in the movie and used car sketches. As for Arcade Fire, Reflektor (that's how they spell it, right?) was OK, but still a bit boring. I like the melody, but half way through, it becomes repetitive. What's with this after show, though? A modern Magical Mystery Tour?

  6. Looking forward to the Bruce Willis episode and Arcade Fire blew wads.
    Loved Tina Fey.

This is probably one of my favorite episodes I've ever seen. Only two bits that I wasn't crazy about: the ex-porn stars (which was decent, but it's been done better three times already), and the comedian on Weekend Update (which was ok, but didn't seem all that original). Everything else hit the mark pretty well, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much the newbies were featured. "New Cast Member or Arcade Fire" was great.

I missed a couple skits dealing with the baby. I was happy to see drunk uncle. I was overwhelmed by 6 new cast members. Will take time to adjust.

  10. Once again, dozed off on the couch before 11:30. Beer and pizza will do that to ya sometimes. Oh well, it'll be rerun within 2 months!

Nasim didn't get used at much at all. Didn't like the show too much except for the prostitute bit at the end. Vanessa's eyes just kill me especially when she tries to wink.

WTH was that Arcade Fire show after SNL? Was it live? I was lying in bed half asleep with it on, and I swear I saw Michael Cera, Ben Stiller, and Bono in it. And it seemed like a costume party/conga line/Studio 54 trip. And I didn't have anything to drink, either.

:agree: You saw what you saw. It was taped in Montreal at some point.

e.meth faux commercial was the highlight for me.

I hope they use McKinnon a lot this season.

I skimmed through the episode quickly and only saw Nasim in the credits. I guess that is to be expected when you look like the overrated host. Or maybe she is too nice to kiss up to the writers to get her skits on the air.

I watched the news and the prostitute bit and did not laugh much at either. Apparently the rest of the episode was a barrel of laughs. I will try again next week. Miley on "The Miley Cyrus Show" could be good.

I stayed up for it and watched the first few skits. I was completely underwhelmed and went to sleep. Did it really get better? Disappointed with what I saw. The cold open and Tina's monologue were sleep-inducing IMO.

Nasim had a blink or you'll miss it bit part in the airline boarding sketch as one of the foreign travelers not understanding the announcement and boarding when they wanted.

The show's ok. I really think a black female cast member is needed, the new people just seemed to run together. I'm not surprised about the new group, their youth or their anything, Lorne has often said, "When in doubt, go young," that he did and then some.

Strange to see Tina Fey not really click with the new cast mates. For some reason I think the show is pinning its hopes on Taran Killiam I say keep looking. I don't think he'll get to the point of carrying this show.

I liked Cecily Strong at news update, she's cute.

Surprised to see Aaron Paul as one of the new cast members. You think he'd take some time off....

It was shot 7-10 days ago. Fans had to lineup out front and other those in costume could gain entrance.

Some salsa venue in Montreal with disco lights. A couple of the cameos were shot in NYC as well as the "transition" bit from the SNL stage.

I've read that Neil spent a long time running on a treadmill before that performance. he wanted his blood pumping like a post-encore type performance. Explains why so many other acts doing performances that feel "cold".

Crew member?:) I think he was just "there" and it was the perfect night for him to be there.

She looked pretty nervous to me. But, she is smart enough to figure out the job. I think she will be fine eventually.

The bad part is I think we have seen the last of "The Girl You Do Not Want To Talk To At A Party".
