Scorpions Lovedrive SACD Audio Fidelity

Thanks to @metalmunk84 in the above thread mentioning that based on his email exchange with Marshall, one of Audio Fidelity's upcoming releases will be Scorpions Lovedrive!

I'm very excited for this release and have enjoyed all the Scorpions releases Audio Fidelity has released to date which include Virgin Killer, Best Of Scorpions, Blackout, and Love at First Sting! Now it sounds like we may get Lovedrive!

Thought I'd open this thread to start the anticipation and discussion!

 

I don't buy many of these fancy AF discs but this one has my name all over it. More albums like this please!

This is my favorite Scorpions album. I'm excited about hearing this on a well-mastered SACD!

 

Instant purchase. And Michael Schenker is on it too.

 

Cool! Maybe they'll eventually fill the gap and do Animal Magnatism too.

 

Great news. It'll be interesting to compare it to the original EMI UK CD which is currently my favorite.

None of the Lovedrive songs are on the AF Best of Scorpions, right?

 

The best Scorpions album after Uli Roth left the band.

Every CD release sounds dull. I hope This was fixed.

Original LP is still the best version.

 

I saw the Scorpions three times live in 1979 around the time this was released, all in the Chicago area. It seemed like they were everywhere at the time. I saw them in a small club in the Chicago suburbs called B’Ginnings. I saw them a month later at Chicagofest at Navy Pier, a huge event in comparison. Then in the winter they played the Chicago Amphitheater. What a time to be a Scorpions fan.

 

Right. Best Of Scorpions covers their RCA period (1974-78). Lovedrive orginally came out after the band switched to Mercury in North America and EMI in Europe.

 

I am a big fan of Hipgnosis (design and photography studio) and I have this original album cover on my wall. I like the songs too so I will have to buy this if it really is getting released.

 

Easily their best album post Uli.......Sometimes I wish I did SACD.

And he's complaining about it to this very day. Just this week he was at it again in an interview.

Sign me up! Just listened to this tonight for the first time in awhile. I’m an even bigger fan of Animal magnetism. The Zoo is one of my favorite songs of all time. There is not a weak song on either album. The reggae like Is There Anybody There has really grown on me over the years.

 

What’s his complaint?
