My Bull Moose order went to the wrong state. Guessing I'll now maybe receive it Tuesday ?

Not the first time the USPS has made this type of mistake.

 

Same discs were loose in mine.

 

The translation is you just bought four more copies.

 

Amazon de have now raised the box price to Euro 100.99 ... it's a Fab casino!

I just got the vinyl version from amazon.de for roughly $27 shipped to the US

 

When you get to the page where you place the order it shows the price as EUR 67,89.

I'm reluctant to order multi disc boxes like this from overseas though. I had to return the deluxe Elvis "That's The Way It Is" to amazon.uk because it had scratched discs. So did the replacement. I got permission to return it after getting the replacement for that one, so I could combine them, which fortunately I was able to do--because that replacement also had scratched discs.

Has anyone gotten any scratched discs with their Sgt. Pepper box?

 

Right now it shows 84,87 with 12,36 shipping for $112 USD. Gonna wait and see if it drops again.

That has happened to me a couple of times. Tracking the shipment of a pricey item and watching it go off into another time zone. Hope you get it soon.

 

Wait, maybe the package went to correct state, but you're in the wrong state. How can we be sure?

There's something inherently wrong with the tonality of this release. It's immediately apparent with the vocals on the title track. There's a loss of organic warmth, the naturalness of the original's timbre. I've no problem with the sense of space of the remix, as such. It's additive in some respects and it's kind of interesting, though somewhat a novelty. But the tone, the essential sound of it? No thanks.

 

That's odd-- I went back to the main listing then to my cart then to the last page where you place the order and it still shows EUR 67,89 with a total of USD 93.11

 

Just got official confirmation that Amazon.it has shipped. Thought about switching to de but naaaw.
I think it is being delivered by someone in Speedos.

 

Also can anyone confirm if "She's leaving home" is sped up? Sorry, haven't read liner notes...

So much for Prime, if they hadn't shipped via Royal Mail, it would have arrived by now. Seriously miffed.

 

I caved in; cancelled my Amazon Italy order and bought the box from my local HMV yesterday. It's a thing of beauty. However, I confess I am now feeling a little sick I could have saved £40 with Amazon Germany.

 

Do you have an HMV near you? They are selling it for £109.99; same price as Amazon UK.

I love it, played it 10 times without pause, no tonality(???) issues, the remix is the best I`ve heard SPLHCB sound since I first played the mono vinyl version in 1967 (I`m now almost 67), the thing is, the 2017 version is better. I know, I was there.

 

To be honest, I rarely buy from Amazon now because HMV is regularly matching (occasionally even undercutting) Amazon. Plus, if you have a 'Pure HMV' loyalty card, you build up points.

 

I wonder if some of you realize that if you just place an order and actually wait for it to be delivered you will then have it. Instead I see a bunch of "I cancelled my order because so&so has it for $5 less, but then the original place now has it $10 less so I cancelled but now they won't ship until June 10th and I originally ordered this in April!" I understand saving some coin but at some point if you want it that bad you have to crap or get off the pot ...

 

Saving money, or spending too much is personal. I'm sure those posters are aware of that.

Valid points, and that's what I normally do-wait. However, I'm annoyed at Amazon shifting the goalposts by shipping via a different method than usual.
