Yes, I think she has done enough to merit inclusion.

That might be one of the greatest photos I've ever seen for a dozen different reasons.

Why? Her greatest songs were without him?

Such as? I'm not a hater, and I'm not arguing that she shouldn't be in the hall, but mass popularity does not always equal "musical accomplishments."

Yep. She is a real trailblazer for pop music.

The only thing in her career that merits inclusion, IMO.

Not before Cliff Richard and The Shadows, Billy Fury and Johnny Kidd and The Pirates or is this an American Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame ?

Yes... but since she is female it may take 5 years longer. Unfortunate.

I'd put her in before some that are already there. She's definitely an influence.

Only if she has played or sung any rock and roll songs. Has she?

    Hell yes.
She was an original on Rock &Roll music radio long before FM came around.
Quite a hot little singing TV host too.

Should she? My own opinion, like others here is why not?

Could she? She could help sell tickets to the dinner.

Will she? Thinking that if she were a viable candidate, she'd have at least been already nominated, if not inducted. It's known that if a certain artist is disliked by certain influential members of the committee, there's zero chance.

Cher seems like she's always spoken her mind, and there has to be a relatively long list of industry heavyweights who probably don't care for her personally. Pat Benatar also hardly gets mentioned, while she was rocking it while there weren't that many women front and center. FM stations still play her songs. Suspect that she's gotten some of the bigwigs hacked off too.

HOF eligibility now established by a standard deviation of one major genre or 2 subgenres from the namesake.

Everyone should be in the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame to stop these "should so-and-so be in the RnRHOF?" threads.

On one hand, hell no. On the other, they've already botched RnR HoF so badly one more mediocre pop star won't matter.
