Remember when mall record stores were the most expensive? Sam Goody, F.Y.E., etc. Their prices were abhorrent. Of course, times have changed many respects with physical media. Now F.Y.E. has CDs on the very cheap. I never expected what I saw today.

An F.Y.E. store in a mall in the Philly area today had a number of new CDs priced at just $3.99. Here are discs I bought today for $3.99 each:

The Allman Brothers Band A Decade of Hits, 1969-1979
    Anthrax Spreading the Disease
Anthrax Madhouse: The Very Best of Anthrax
    The Best of Glen Campbell
    (EMI "Ten Best Series")
Marvin Gaye What's Going On (2002 remaster with two bonus tracks)
    Queensryche Empire (2003 remaster)

I haven't seen CDs this cheap at Best Buy or Barnes & Noble yet.

Most Barnes & Noble locations do have a $4.99 section stocked with some decent catalog titles. Been that way for many years.

True, as well as $7.99 and $9.99 sections.
