I just discovered a technical death metal band called Archspire. I suspect that maybe .00001 percent of the members here have any interested in tech-death, but the drummer, Spencer Prewett, is phenomenal.

    Like 350 bpm phenomenal.

I won't post a video of the band because, as I said, about .00001 percent of you will dig it. But here's the drum-only track for one song.

Like a machine. Even if you don't particularly care for the music you have to admit that his speed and coordination is incredible. I will admit that a little goes a long way for me with these beats, but it's more about head banging than subtlety anyway.

Sheejus! 64ths? That's nuts. Thanks for posting. What's he doing on the snare? He tore the crap out of that Zildjian splash.

Yeah, my tastes in metal run more toward doom, atmospheric black metal, old-school thrash, and the like. Death metal and technical death metal don't do anything for me... But his drumming blows me away.

His feet are no less impressive with the double kicks on the bass drum.

Also, I see a mod edited the title. Noted for future consideration. :)
