Marvel retains creative control of Spider-Man in the 2017 movie Homecoming.

Marvel Has Spider-Man: Homecoming Creative Control »

"It was big news when Sony and Marvel announced they’d worked out a deal to bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And the word on Captain America: Civil War is that the new Spidey, played by Tom Holland, gets off to a fantastic start. But Civil War is a movie released by Marvel Studios. Holland’s first solo outing, Spider-Man: Homecoming, is being distributed by Sony. So who really holds Spider-Man’s future in their hands?

Well, new comments by Kevin Feige suggest it’s Marvel, not Sony, which will have creative control over the character. Which should come as a huge relief if you weren’t a fan of Sony’s handling of the past two Spider-Men"

    Can't wait to see it.

Not a huge fan of Andrew Garfield's role as Spidey.

After seeing Spidey in Captain America I'm really excited!!!

    Dr. Pepper What, me worry?

It's strange, but I have never been a huge Spider-Man fan. I have always been a team fan, love X-men, Avengers, Justice League, Teen Titans, and especially Legion of Super Heroes. Having said all of that, this new Spidey as portrayed in Civil War has me more exited for a new Spidey movie than ever before!

I agree to a point, I preferred The FF, Avengers and even Sgt Fury and his Howlers to many of the solo super-heroes. But Spider-Man was so screwed up that I couldn't wait to read each issue as a kid. I thought he was the most compelling character Marvel had ever created.

What happened to The Thing ?
A much beloved sixties Marvel Comic charactor. I would like to see this wise guy getting some clobbering time in the movies again.

Controlled by Fox at the moment. If they didn't hate Disney so much, they might consider doing a similar deal: let Disney/Marvel have control of the next Fantastic Four movie (with The Thing) and then split the money.

So excited for this. Tom Holland was absolutely spectacular in his first outing as Peter Parker AND ESPECIALLY Spider-Man. The mannerisms, the quips and his web-swinging - AMAZING! As for The Thing and the Fantastic Four, I do hope a deal will be reached or if the rights even get reverted back to Marvel/Disney as it has been speculated for quite some time. Maybe we'll have an announcement at San Diego Comic-Con as that's what fans and pundits are indeed anticipating. :)

The Capt. America segment reminded me that Spider-Man annoys me more than anything else. Pass.

wow, I might actually return to this after passing on the last 3. Black girl love interest: excellent.
Iron man: works for me. Keaton as villain: oh yea, I remember that movie years ago with Melanie Griffith, he was creepy.
Not sure If I like high tech 'Pumpkin Boy'
Marvel can still keep the humor in, that's always a plus.

Just a thought: wouldn't it be cool if Keaton played the Vulture? Birds characters are kind of in his blood...............

Hate to be picky, but, first Aunt May is remastered as a AILF, now the Vulture is no longer an old guy?

Maybe next they can remake The Trip To Bountiful with Kristen Bell in Geraldine Page's role.

I know little about this Vulture character, how old is he meant to be?

    Keaton is 65.

When I first remember him, he is indeterminately older than Peter (60's) . Later, he looked older--bald, wrinkled. But then again, I stopped reading Spidey in the 80's.
