Apologies if I already have, but here are some pics I took of her Piano concert in Sloane Square, London a few weeks back, where she trialled the Piano versions of these songs

The upcoming album was recorded 14 months ago. Before any songs had been played in public, with 1 possible exception.

Due out October 12th via Loma Vista Recordings, MassEducation was recorded back in August 2017 at New York’s Electric Lady studios while Annie Clark and Bartlett were mixing MASSEDUCTION.

Thanks!! I missed her at End Of The Road but managed to see her a few days later. I had just seen her in Gothenburg at Way Out West too. That was enough.

I love that she's got a good sense of humor. I remember all of the typos online misnaming last year's great album Masseduction as Masseducation. So what does she name her stripped-down version? MassEducation. Hilarious - I love it.

Waiting for my vinyl copy to arrive, another case of pre-ordering on Amazon expecting delivery on release date (today) but then showing as Tuesday, so again cancelled and able to order one on same day delivery!

Wow, you can watch him doing it in this video:

I guess that's called "palm muting." I had never heard of it but it sounds amazing!

Ok, I'm through the album once and I mostly enjoyed it a lot. I don't think the piano-only approach works for all the fast tracks equally well, but it sure works for the slower tracks. There are many moments of great beauty on this album, like the outro of "Pills". To my total lack of surprise, the highlight for me was "Happy Birthday, Johnny". This song just seems to get more heartbreaking and beautiful the more you strip it down.

While I was at it, I just continued with Prince's "Piano & A Microphone". Seemed kinda fitting.

Ha, I did exactly the same thing this morning! It happens a lot, you pre-order and then on release day its still not shipped, but you can order it on the day of release for potentially same-day. Annoying

Just spinning my vinyl now, sounds good. Yet ANOTHER vinyl album without a Download code though. :realmad:

Would you mind sharing the matrix info? This is such a sparse production, with lots of quiet spaces in the arrangements. I'd hate to find it was pressed at United, as so many Loma Vista titles are.

Sure. I've only played Side One so far, but I've not heard a single pop, tear or problem whatsoever, its background is as black as can be so far

Right, a huge amount of matrix info on this!! All is hand-scribe
