Star Wars: Episode VII

Im just wonderig what kind of one liner interaction, if any, old Hans and old Leia will have? I just have this image of two old grouchy people saying "You old fool" to each other. Not sure the old comedy feel will be there. But who knows. Just a thought.

 

Looking at the clip Carrie looks fine.

 

Is that really the role she's going to play? If so, I think it actually could work!

 

My guess, nothing more.

But in Star Wars that is kind of what she did. She was a leader in the command center during the battle.

Episode VIII to be released on May 26, 2017. First Star Wars stand alone film, titles Rogue One, will be released December 16, 2016.

Interesting, so only a 1.5-year turnaround between films (not counting the stand-alone). I get the feeling they're going to start churning these out like the Marvel films, unfortunately.

On the plus side, May is the proper month to release a SW film. Not sure why they decided to go ahead with a holiday release for Episode VII.

 

When do you all think we'll get our first real trailer for this? Maybe attached to Avengers 2? That would seem to make the most sense to me.

I meant the first of the planned upcoming stand alone features. I saw that one and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor when I was kid.

 

I had the bad luck of seeing the Holiday Special the only time it was broadcast. Talk about rapidly dashed expectations!

 

I have read it was slated for a May release earlier on, but they realized they would need more time for a better pre-production.

I watched the Holiday Special also, although the only thing I remember is Chewie's family and Stormtroopers showing up at the door.

 

I imagine that a holiday opening won't just match a summer opening, but will also bulldoze through the quiet January through March months having absolutely zero serious competition at the box office.

 

Nice, that is, until the owner realizes that he'll never, ever be getting laid in that bed.

 

Most everyone loves nostalgia, it will work.

 

Funny how it does not work the other way around.

The next trailer is going to be with the new Avengers movie. Haven't read if it's going to be online at the same time, or they're going to have it at just the theaters for a while. I bet it's just at the theaters for the initial weekend, just to make some extra money, even though that movie really doesn't need that kind of help.
