I just came out of my self imposed SACD buying ban . I preordered both SD SHM-SACDs from cdjapan. I looked on Acoustic Sounds and their prices are $59.99 each. For the two SHM-SACDs shipped from cdjapan is $88.33. I love both of these SD albums. I hope they do Can't Buy a Thrill, Katy Lied and The Royal Scam .

My search for "steely dan sacd" on cdjapan didn't give me Pretzel Logic, so I placed the order for just Countdown to Ecstasy. I guess I'll wait for some reviews on Pretzel Logic.

 

Do sacd's play w/ 5.1 on on Blu-Ray players?

 

Might depend on your player. But these are not 5.1.

My aging ears are quite happy with the original Japan-for-USA MCA disc.

 

Thx. Probably don't need then. With my system cd is fine. Album is tops.

 

CD Japan is now shipping this SHM-SACD (as well as the Platinum SHM-CD).

The SHM SACD version of Aja, is the best sounding version of it I have ever heard. I just wish the darn things weren't so expensive!

I just had to play the Aja SHM-SACD after seeing your post . I decided to have Count to Ecstasy shipped when Pretzel Logic is released. I'm in no big rush and it saves a few bucks on shipping.

I can never seem to find a clean copy of Countdown on LP, so I ordered this. One can never have too much Steely Dan (though I try ...)

 

My wife has come to find out that I can never have too much Steely Dan. My Countdown to Ecstasy SHM-SACD and Platinum SHM-CD will be here tomorrow.

Will do. I am following FedEx tracking. The discs should arrive this morning, though I will be at work. I plan to listen to the SACD tonight.
