  1. So Tomb Raider? I think Steven is a few years too late.

I’m all for female action stars but just make them an original character or a spin, such as Indy’s sister or 009.

The gender is irrelevant. Harrison Ford is Indiana Jones.

I was under the impression that Jones was his last name so you'd have to change the Henry name to something else like Sarah or maybe Elenor so it could be Ellie Jones. I don't think it's such a terrible idea as I'm not sure how many more Indiana Jones movies Harrison has in him and how well it worked could come down to casting.

Yeah, yeah, or maybe one of those Mayan skulls had the spirit of a shamaness in it and it got in him and now he feels pretty. And tough. Tough and pretty. That's the ticket.

He's a little late to the party, isn't he? Think Gal Gadot, stretching waaaaay back to Angelina Jolie in the first Lara Croft . . .

  12. Because trashing iconic male characters like this makes for better virtue signalling.

I think it's perfectly logical there should be a female Indana Jones.

    What will you name her...?

Oh, and while we're at it...who do you think the next Steven Speilberg should be?

  16. Wow, that’s such an original thought from a guy (Spielberg) who has so many of them.

If you ask me, cramming women into traditionally male characters dishonors women. It implies that people will only go see a female lead if they're tricked into it with stunt casting.

At some point in time, this sort of thing stopped being organic and became very forced and rote. It seems more like a rule now than any victory for women.
