And it only cost me $20! I can't wait to hear it.

Yeah. Good score. The disc didn't cost $20 while it was in print! :)

I have both the LP and CD. A really fine job. I wished Steve got a chance to do more, especially News/World.

The DCC of Queen ANATO is definately the best its ever sounded on CD. Beats the MFSL easily.

For some reason, most of the Queen recordings are very muddy, so Steve probably didn't have a lot to work with. His version definitely sounds better than the overly-noise reduced version in the 24-bit Queen box set.

I agree Bob. Muddy material. The DCC does have more in the middle and the soundstage is much better than the MoFi.

    Enjoy AKA!

A Night at the Opera will never sound like an "audiophile" (or even a high quality regular) recording, but Steve's version is definitely the best of what is out there.

The DVD- A of Queens NATO is the best sounding NATO so far.
Ive compared them all. Have you heard it? Brian May really took care in making sure the DVD-A sounded the best. Of course only my opinion.

Ed Bishop Incredibly, I'm still here

My sentiments exactly. That's the only negative aspect of the DCC catalog: sometimes all Steve got was one Lp to cut, ala STAGE FRIGHT, and once you got that, you thought, 'well, of course, BIG PINK and THE BAND must be up next, eventually, etc.', but no....:(

Being a glass-is-half-full guy by nature, though, I'm thankful for what he did get to master. But the OPERA disc is wonderful, not to be missed. Brad, you will love it, believe me:love:

I finally got this title a month ago and it's so much better than the recent Hollywood Records reissue!
