Tektronix Oscilloscope Question

I am interested to buy a Tektronix scope and get more into testing my hi fi equipment & open reel machines etc..., I have a chance to buy a 100Mhz Tektronix 2246 model (newly calibrated with manual and probes) for about $750. I was wondering if there might be anyone here who is an expert on Scopes or very knowledgeable, and can let me know if this particular model is a good one by Tektronix for the price, or if there are better made ones by them at the price or even less (Tektronix model 465 perhaps?)

Someone a while back said, I dont recall where I read it though, that the Tek 2200 series models werent built with quite the ruggedness & quality of other Tek models, was wondering if that was in fact true or not.
