We were watching the Movie "After Hours" tonight, which a a very funny '80s film. Teri Garr is in it (playing a spoof of her 60s self), and it reminded me what a fan I am of her work.

She's had a great career, from many Elvis Movies in the 60s, a Go-Go Dancer on the T.A.M.I Show in 1964, Star Trek and many TV performances in the 60s up through the present, and is still working. She was in the 2007 Movie "Kabluey".

Any other Teri Garr fans here?

I've always liked her. It's a shame that Letterman was often so cruel to her for the sake of 'comedy'. It's sad that she has MS.

 How does that make the way he treated her on the show at times not cruel?

She balances the fine line between the entirely rational and yet terribly unsympathetic wife in Close Encounters of the Third Kind brilliantly.

The TV and movies pale in comparison to her 70's & 8-'s movies. If you look at her career she was in some of the biggest movies of the time. She was a huge star, and yes, Young Frankenstein is a great movie. Her career has been amazing.

Her appearances on 'Letterman" and her on-going, on-air relationship with Dave was a comedy "bit". She was in on the joke and was a willing participant.

I agree with all that has been posted...and I hate to border on the crass, but she was one of the hottest and funniest actresses from that period. How is she doing with her MS - does anyone know?

I adore her and fell in love with her when I saw "Young Frankie".

She's one of my favorite actresses.

I don't know how she's doing with her MS. She also suffered a brain aneurysm on December 21, 2006 in her Los Angeles area home. Hopefully she's recovering.

Her cameo role in The Monkees' movie "Head" was FANTASTIC! She uttered that immortal line "Quick...suck it before the venom reaches my heart!" That was HILARIOUS!!!:righton: Michael Boyce

They were setting them up for a spin-off, but of course it never happened.

She has been in tons of stuff.

Hopefully she is doing well these days.

Great comedic actress. Besides "Young Frankenstein", my other favorites she was in are "Mr. Mom", and her Oscar nominated performance as Dustin Hoffman's incredibly neurotic and insecure girlfriend in "Tootsie". That scream she let out when Hoffman pulled off his wig on live TV was priceless!

I love the clips I've seen of her as a dancer on various episodes of "Shindig!" during the mid 60's.
