The Capitol Records 75th Anniversary Collection – Vinyl Reissue Program

Frank Sinatra Sings for Only the Lonely did not, a major disappointment. And Frank Sinatra Enterprises denied any knowledge of it (at the Sinatra Family Forum), despite it being included in the Capitol 75th Anniversary list.

 

Has anyone bought the Louis Prima LP? What does it sound like?

 

And now that the White Album remix has been confirmed (or the closest thing to a confirmation we are bound to get until it is released), I will happily put my foot in my mouth. Or eat crow. Or listen to multitudes of people shouting “I told you so!” So sorry about my post above, Clark, because in the end you were right!

 

I got mine a month or so ago and am very happy with it. I think it sounds great for mono. They used the later black w/rainbow band record label but it would have been nice if they had used the original 1956 green label.

 

So I guess Meet the Beatles is NOT being re-released?

 

It does not appear so.

Big announcement, BIG FIZZLE! Warner Brothers has done so much more with their catalog. Capitol = Bleh.

 

I would have loved to have had a new one to hang on my wall.
