    I thought this video was really interesting and wanted to share it here. Especially since @Vidiot has constantly displayed issues with the logic of this series. :laugh:

    In the first movie - that first scene with the cars racing it looks real.

    Detailed research is on trend. This is mythology for modern times as great and relevant as any. A trilogy too, what could be a more significant 'universe' once you get into trilogy territory. There will probably be college courses and doctoral thesis very soon. Also "skim milk masquerades as cream" to quote Phil Dick. :D

    I can think of 100 cartoons made for small children that aren't as nutty as Cars. Hell, all the classic Warner Bros. cartoons are funny as hell, well-drawn, and make sense in a cartoon universe. But they don't pretend that people never existed -- in fact, Elmer Fudd is a person. I think there's a way to make a kid's story that's entertaining, fun, but still not stupid.
