Seemingly an odd choice of guitarist, even for a band with a pretty eclectic back catalogue at that time, but for the most part I really rate the 2 albums he did with them 'Flavours' and 'Power in the Music'. Dom certainly gave them a new twist.. Oddly commercial and off-beat at the same time!

Fave tracks on Flavours for me.. Dancin Fool, Diggin Yourself and Long Gone

Fave tracks on PITM.. Rich World Poor World, Coors for Sunday and PITM

    What does anyone else think?

Dancin' Fool: incredible guitar work. Does anyone know whether Dominic's solo was edited?

Don't get me wrong, but it is very concise and almost too perfect.

I have always seen Troiano's placement into the band as a departure from the thick and heavy guitar work of Kurt Winter. More of a return to the Bachman days when Randy was capable of playing lead both ways.(heavy/psychedelic or refined and jazz inflected) During Kurt's tenure the more sophisticated jazzier leads were usually played by the other guitar player while Kurt was completely brilliant with hard and heavy riffing and lead parts. Especially evident when Greg Leskiw was in the band.
