My friends and I joke about how, now that we're older, we feel obliged to watch NCIS like good little senior citizens. It's hard to believe there are THREE active shows dedicated to this theme. I had no idea that the Navy had such a problem with sailors being murdered for nefarious reasons. Anyway, last night was the Home Invasion episode where the NCIS office was taken over by terrorists. I thought it was pretty good. The bad guys were brutal, things got a little violent, they blew up Abby's lab (I'm sure as a foreshadow of her leaving), and Maria Bello finally got a chance to beat the crap out of someone. They really should mix things up more often....
The Young Ones WARNING: Although this show is only "PG-13" type material, some of you may find it to be in very poor taste. It's not racist or anything like that, but it does contain frequent crude humor and cartoonish violence.
X Company which I believe is a Canadian/Romanian (!?) co-production, running on Ovation. It's about the run-up to the U.S. joining in WW2, with the Canadians training espionage agents for clandestine missions. Watching it online, 2 eposides at a time.
Me TV started showing the Beverly Hillbillies from episode 1 recently. I Tivo'ed the first 7 0r 8 episodes and watched 'em all in a row. I'm gonna keep recording 'em till I'm tired of Beverly Hills action.
Good enough! I don't need the DVD's. I'll not want to watch these again. I've seen these episodes 2-4 times over the years.
yea me too...many, many times but I still never tire of them...my dream would be a complete Blu-ray box set untouched by Shout factory...because if they get their paws on them they will be DVDs overpriced at BD pricing!
Chicago Med: This show seems to have a formula. Show something gory and disgusting at the beginning, then have the world's most beautiful group of doctors and nurses rush in and take care of everything (when they are not busy bedding each other down). I grew up around hospitals and ER's and such and I just don't remember everyone being so pretty. I suppose if they just called it 'Chicago Med Hot and Hunky', people might not take it seriously...
Currently, Marcella which is taking cop shows to a new level. Very gritty and with the excellent Anna Friel in the title role.
