The Mentalist - any fans?

when is the cut off point for the current network airing this if they want to renew it ?

 

Amanda Righetti is going to be on the Chicago Med spinoff from Chicago Fire next year, so I guess Van Pelt disappears into that vast secondary cast member void if this show gets picked up.
My prediction for Jisbon? Bank on it. You don't taunt us for this long and not have some kind of payoff, especially if the show is ending. Even if it gets picked up, Castle has shown that you can go there with the romantic angle and still not mess with the essence of the show.

Good Wife & Mentalist both ended up unpredictably past my bed-time, most Sunday nights; too bad you have to give up on shows you enjoy.

 

No real definite spoilers in this article / interview, but it does hint at the season / (series?) finale.

He's moving on to run "Gotham", the origin story of Jim Gordon (and Riddler, Joker, etc.).

 

I would agree with that. The delays on Sunday nights due to sports are terrible and will not help any show they put in this time slot.

Of the (very) few shows I watch and mostly enjoy, this is one.

So, about 6 P.M. I check the CBS schedule to see what precedes it - if a sports event of unknown duration, I'm gone.

 

Actually, it's going to Ben McKenzie, who played officer Ben Sherman on the dearly departed "Southland".

Sorry-it looks like it might be Tom Szentgyorgyi, who is already a producer and writer on the show. Baker already gets a producer credit.

 

Short preview for next week. But it looks very interesting. I think Lisbon freaked tonight when Pike asked her to get married.

 

Just read an article last night about the CBS schedule. And the Mentalist is not on the schedule for the fall. They said something about it being a mid season replacement? So it may not get a full season of episodes. I'll try to find the article again and post a link.

 

That's what I heard as well, my guess is it'll be a 13-episode season starting in January, likely replacing one of the new series that didn't do well at that point. I'm going to miss that quirky "Mentalist" background music

 

They're making it ridiculous.
