Have you seen it yet? I'm going tomorrow (June 8) in NYC area.

Any feedback on the visuals or sound?

I'll just stick with the original film mixes of the four then-new songs, which I have from a 1979 BBC Christmas airing, and speed-corrected.

Just in the door from an 11am screening. Looks pin sharp but no better than what home viewing with a good system will give you. Sound was always funny with it. Nowhere Man half lost.

You do get a blue A5 envelope with four art cards and a set of stickers inside.

    (Rare. Offers. Etc.)

    Just back from the theater.

The presentation was below expectations, mostly because the theater sound system was not up to snuff. The picture was excellent.

Still, it was a sellout. The audience was engaged throughout, and we all sang along together at the end.

The old DVD? It's letterboxed and suffers from edge enhancement, repeating shots and the mono track lapsing into stereo. The BluRay? I would say demo quality but some grain management has been applied (The Fabs' cameo is a bit suspect)

  18. One show only in a town a couple away. Great thing to do on a hot Sun afternoon and my kid had never seen the likes of it. We all had a blast and afterwards I realized it's possible I've never seen it unedited (for TV I'm thinking) before - or my memory sucks - as I don't recall the bulldog scene (though I know the song well enough). See it.

I’m embarrassed to say it took me decades to get that pun. I thought it was a funny line anyway, though.

Last night when Old Fred said "Won't you please, please help me?" did I realize that he was quoting "Help!" It only took me 50 years to get it!
