  2. It's first-run. I could look it up, but IIRC future tabloid fodder Megan Fox is hosting. Will try to catch this if I'm back in by 11:30 tonight.

Definitely new, definitely with Megan Fox. Bono plugged the show at Giants Stadium on Thursday...

It's set on our DVR. Not because of U2, but just because.

There were some inspired moments in the last two 'SNL Weekend Thursday' episodes even though the election year is over. The second show was better than the first (which even had some funny technical srew-ups) so hopefully it'll be a good season.

I like most of the cast now (but can't understand why the hell Keenan Thompson is still on).

  5. Good set by U2. But, a thought that occured to me: U2 have now been around for thirty years. 30 Years. THIRTY. [Language edit - JW*]. I clearly recall buying the "I Will Follow" 7"- yes kids, vinyl single - as a nine year old. I feel very old right now.

Maybe I shall listen to some Bread. :biglaugh:

Yeah, Edge lit it up on that first number. Actually for a 30 year old band they all did. But the Edge is on fire tonight, no doubt if there was a contest he won the first round.

Adam and Larry have joined the Charlie Watts Laconic Aristocrats of Rock Club. Although Adam did strike one or two rock star poses just for the hell of it.

  10. I was a bit disconcerted when Larry kicked back in that recliner with a pipe, but that's just part of the process right? :D

They're only halfway through the second song, but I think I've realized that it's Bono who bothers me so much.

Who's playing organ on the second song? It's the glue.

  14. Yeah, U2 are a classic rock band for a reason.

"Moment of Surrender" is a special song. Glad they did it tonight.

    Missed it. Stupid forums.

  17. Did that chick just say the F-word? Hey, we may have been party to a moment!

Yeah, I played it back and she said the real word instead of frickin.

I thought there was some type of delay there.

Poor Jenny! Her first SNL, and she said the forbidden word. Here's her expression right after she said it...

Yeah, there was no doubt she said it, especially when she pulled that face.

A little "Ultraviolet" at the end of the show. Nice.

  24. Somehow, methinks she'll come out of this better than Charles Rocket, but on va voir, right?

Anyway: on a vaguely related listening front, Van Halen's Fair Warning is in the player right now, and I don't think many rock fans appreciate what a legitimately experimental album this is.
