I agree ... and have been looking for it on CD ... the only place that I have found it is on a couple of Continental Records CDs ... the Canadian outfit ... but a lot of the songs on their CDs are dubbed from records.

Does anyone know a good source for this Sonny Knight song? :)

Yes and no. The "bam-bam-bam-bam" beat is similar. That chiming guitar is quite different in "Have I the Right."

Well, it's a Hite Morgan production, so Bruce Morgan has a tape, but so does Dot Records, that's Universal. They probably never heard of it before. :(

Yeah they're pretty different songs but the stomping is similar. I love both of those tunes.

I tried to get a tour of Joe Meek's apartment so I could record foot stomps in the stairway. It was for rent and I offered the land lord £20 if he'd let us in to see the place. He said he'd be happy when he got back to town the next Monday but we were flying out on Sunday.

Sorry for the story. Now back to the subject.

I love 'em both, too, yesman. I never get tired of the Honeycombs record. As for the DC5, they are much maligned. Sure, they did a lot of lightweight stuff, but "Bits" as well as "Any Way You Want It" and "Can't You See That She's Mine" can really rock out.

As for the story, glad you mentioned it. It would have been worthwhile to get in there...

Then I guess Aura Records was a Hite Morgan label? ... or was it a subsidiary of Dot Records? Since the record reached only #71 on Billboard, it probably isn't on anybody's reissue list ... which is too bad. :(

But ... if Ronnie Love's "Chills and Fever" (Dot 16144) (#72 in '61) can make it to CD (Varese's "History of Dot Records - Vol. 2") ... then maybe there is still hope. :)
