Just learned about the Chromecast Audio last week and I'm excited to integrate it so that my vintage stereo pieces can stream Tidal HiFi in a multi-room format.

Set the first Chromecast up today, very easy to do.

However, The "HIFI" indicator in Tidal will not light up. I imagine it's just steaming MP3. A quick search on the web reveals that I'm not the only one with this issue. Is this a problem on the Google side, or the Tidal side?

    Suggestions?

I see that too, but I haven't been able to identify with any certainty that it means anything other than the TIDAL user interface is inconsistent and and generally kind of goofy. It doesn't sound like I'm listening to MP3 when it's off, but not sure.

So, you think it's actually playing in hifi?

No clue. It sounds just great through my Gungnir Multibit.
