    It has been available in Europe for quite some time now... not with a director/cast commentary track though, AFAIR, and I am not sure if the R2 version is enhanced for 16:9.

    I'm looking forward to this. It's sad but this film was released for about half a day and then was recalled (wasn't that earlier this year?).

    I'd say it was held up for longer than a year. The release date was cancelled just shortly before it was to be released. I hadn't heard of any copies getting out in the US, but it did come out in Europe.

    Funny - it's been available in Australia for a while, with director and cast/crew commentary (Martin Landau, the co-writers, director of photography and costume designer) and it's 16:9 enhanced. And it sells for AUD $20 or about US 14$. Haven't seen it though.
