The Rust List (Karl T Himmel facebook source) reports the death of Tim Drummond at 74. I can't confirm.Tim Drummond, bass player and songwriter was born in Canton, Illinois on 20 April 1940. Tim belongs to the strict group of the Nashville Cats and played and recorded with Neil Young, Bob Dylan, J.J.Cale and many others. He was the last surviving member of The Stray Gators, playing on the Neil' s Harvest album and the following TFA tour.
The true legend was reported as seriously ill from many years.

You can also see him on the CSNY '74 Wembley concert. For several reasons, these things aren't ever officially released. The same for the Bob Toronto 1980 . concerts.

    another NY alumni gone.

They're not getting any younger. It's a sad truth. And kind of frightening.

Perhaps his most famous moment with "The Godfather Of Soul" was on "I Can't Stand Myself (When You Touch Me)."

amazingly talented gent. i would be a bit wary if i were someone associated with mr. young in the past. there seems to be some weird mojo working in his camp of associates. maybe croz knew something and is just distancing himself for safety reasons.

what do you expect? they're just getting old. 74 is old, especially in rock and roll years.
