... coming to a store near you ... seriously, Tim, you mentioned in another thread that you had compiled 34 CD-Rs of your favorite things ... if it's not too much trouble, would you share the track lists from a couple ... I am curious what made the list ... and I'll bet I am not alone with that curiosity. :)

OK, by popular request, here are several track listings of the ongoing series
Tim Neely presents ... "A Few of My Favorite Things"

    First, the story:
"In 1995, I decided to collect onto cassette tapes all the songs that I really, really liked. It was such a fun project that, having obtained a CD recorder in 2001, I'm doing it again.
"I've decided to re-record those favorites onto compact discs and add those selections I didn't get to or didn't have, or that hadn't been released back then. (After all, good music didn't stop in 1995.) I've taken the opportunity to re-assess all my 1995 selections; most of them are still valid.
"I have only two rules regarding these compilations. One is that no artist appears more than once on any CD, although a solo performer from a group can be included on the same CD with the group. Second is that I make no distinctions regarding type or era of music. ... That's the way I've always listened to music at home, so why stop now?"

My source material can be CDs, LPs or 45s.

    A few other notes:

So far, there are 729 songs I've recorded in the series; by the time I'm done, I'll probably hit 1,000 no problem.

Longest song so far: "Change Your Mind" by Neil Young and Crazy Horse (14:32)
Artist appearing most often: The Beatles (16)
Artist appearing second most often: Bee Gees (12)
Oldest song so far: "The Third Man Theme" by Anton Karas (1950)
Newest song so far: "Smoke Rings in the Dark" by Gary Allan (1999)

Thanks, Tim, for sharing ... I suspected that it would be an interesting list ... there are some songs with which I am not familiar ... but I will check them out. :)

    Koo Koo, Daddio!
That's an inspired sequence for sure! It reminds me why I love music!

In the REsearch book "Incredibly Strange Music" there's a great story focusing on the Cramps and their life as record collectors.

Very interesting list. Kind of makes me wish you had a radio show. I'll have to check out some of those country songs.
