Tips for Record Hunting in Europe

I'm wondering if anyone on the SH forums has been shopping for vinyl in Europe within the past five years. I will be spending the next 12 months abroad, U.K. and then France. Would anyone offer me any advice on record store pricing, etiquette, operating hours, or anything else to look for? I listen to mostly classic rock, so you can imagine how excited I will be to see European pressings of the Beatles, Stones, Pink Floyd, the Who, etc. on a regular basis. Is it going to be the score of a lifetime? Or, are we all subject to discogs pricing now? Thanks in advance for your help. This forum rocks!
