I don't mind if it's simply your favourite 5 or what you think are the most important songs of the 90s...just list the darn things!

I think I will go with:

    1) Cornflake Girl - Tori Amos
    2) Closer - Nine Inch Nails
    3) Heart-Shaped Box - Nirvana
    4) This Is A Low - Blur
    5) Paranoid Android - Radiohead

...I might post a more obscure 5 later on...but I didn't want to scare everyone away just yet...

    Nice Thread, OP! :righton:
Going w/some of my particular favs (& perhaps not necessarily massive 90s hits):
What my mind first landed on - tomorrow, it could very well be a completely different list!

I do recall playing Ledbetter Heights (Kenny Wayne), Chupacabra (Imani), Sweet Dreams (L.B.) & Yes I Am (Melissa) CDs repeatedly.
I Think I'm Paranoid didn't really feel need b/c of massive radio & MTV play - Purchased Garbage CD: Absolute Garbage (Comp.) & bootlegs later on.
    :D:D:D:D

    Garbage - I Think I'm Paranoid
Kenny Wayne Shepherd - Deja Voodoo
    La Bouche - Sweet Dreams
Melissa Etheridge - Come To My Window
Imani Coppola - Legend Of A Cowgirl

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9McVO9hpUE - Imani Coppola
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rn5p-9-0y0A - La Bouche
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrNcQOobZ6E - M.E.

    What an impossible task! :)

Here are five of the hundreds of songs I dearly love from the Nineties. They still sound as fresh and wonderful to me now as the first time I heard them twenty-odd years ago:

    Ruby Blue - Primitive Man
    Blue Rodeo - Disappear
Show Of Hands - The Galway Farmer
Robert Earl Keen - Blow You Away
    Al Stewart - Charlotte Corday
