A friend is going to Calgary in a couple of weeks and has already agreed to track down some of these for me.
She'll be in the downtown area, so if there's a nice music store with a good classical selection, please let me know! (can you see that I'm begging?:) )

The Concert Edition issues many performances that have never seen the light of day by RCA. And they aren't available in the US for some irritating copyright reasons with BMG and the T'nini family.

They feature full concert broadcasts during the NBC orchestra's prime, some including original on-air commentary and even some rehearsals. All mastered from the original transcription disks made at NBC. This is essential stuff! Here's a list:

From what I've hears, many of these performances, particularly the Beethoven works, were far superior to the standard commercial stuff that is usually reissued. Those were recorded on tape in the late 40s and early 50s and don't seem to have the depth and sensitivity of the earlier performances.

    Thanks,

Ok I think I found something very cool. An all classical CD store in downtown Calgary.

Looks like a dream store to me.
