i'd like to know if virgin vinyl has the stretch problem that mass production vinyl has.I noticed that most soft vinyl (mass production)lps have bad sound when they play on the inside tracks(raspy sound).does this happen to mfsl or dcc lps after a bunch of plays? i'll say one thing vinyl still beats
cd and even sound as good as super audio cd! well almost does! ;)

Distortion on the inner grooves is usually attrributed to cartridge misalignment or over cut records. As a rule, loud inner groove passages do not sound as clean as the outer grooves, that's the nature of the beast. But a well set-up turntable will lessen the contrast. The original Mo-Fi LP's were often cut at a lower volume so the music stayed as far away from the inner label area as possible (larger lead-out groove area) and there was less chance of mistracking due to the record being cut too hot.
