no doubt, insecurity of the all digital crowd rears it's ugly head on a regular basis on threads where it does not belong. Apparently a love for digital and only digital seems to go hand in hand with an inability to follow forum rules. One can read a lot into that fact.

I took it to mean cutting lathes, you know in Europe we have a lot of DMM pressing plants I think that process has a digital delay.
Pressing the disc can only be analogue?

Seems to me what you call a sleeping giant is just a small, annoying vocal group of people who feel very insecure about their choice to go all digital and ignore a flourishing format that has so much to offer audiophiles. Maybe we should just call that a screaming dwarf. :D

OK. But there are several mastering facilities in Europe and UK that can do all analog cutting.

Yes and I mention two, which is a whole lot more than the zero quoted as being in existence.
Vinyl is 1950's technology in the main, pressing plants are 100% busy, many of those plants are getting machines out of storage. If this continues then people will make presses again, there are people who are starting to restock spares for Hamilton and Lened presses.

I think we live in interesting times.

Ah but you love to interfere and create polemic you did well but now you need to ofend so that is when you fail....

When people don't have smart arguments anymore they just start offending others.

Vinilphile is already on my list and now U2. God bless the ignoring lists. :edthumbs:

Let's keep discussing in a polite way please. :)

    What do they win?

I thought this thread was about the massive increase in sales of vinyl? Possibly people with other agendas will try to suggest the other formats need to be measured against those sales.
I think some people identify a little too personally with their formats–you're not what you own.

I didn't accuse you of being stupid, I said your post was stupid-which it is.
I'm not angry just tired of your overly transparent modus, and yes i can interject with your 'conversation' this is a public forum not your private conversation.

    Your argument is smart?!?

Please don't lecture people about being civil, that isn't very clever considering your posting record in this thread.

My brother runs an used record shop on the side, out East. With the current demand for records it's becoming too difficult for him to find records that he can resell at a profit to sustain operations. He'll be fulfilling his rent agreement and then getting out of the business.

Then why are you insecure enough to have to post that?

More peculiar is that some people find security in not following their muse, of being part of the masses, following the herd. 98% of the people do the same as me? I'm there. Why shop at a farmers market for organic food when you can shop at a big box and stock up on frozen microwave dinners? Thoroughly processed, expertly sanitized, more sugars and salt, tastes better too.
