Man, I LOVE the gorgeous Neal Adams artwork on this...my favorite comic book artist, whose run on Batman, and Green Lantern/Green Arrow in the early 70's redefined those characters. I gotta get me a copy of this!
Radiohead - Creep 12 inch A rare shot of the lads looking carefree and happy... Is Phil Selway wearing a backwards baseball cap?
Probably not so impressive to post so many gatefolds by the same artist, but I'm limited by what I can find images of online. Some of my favorite gatefolds just don't seem to be represented pictorially on the web. Anyway, this is a pretty good one.
One of my old favorites, used to love looking at this while listening to the record. Artwork by Hipgnosis. Outer sleeve : Inner sleeve :
Great cover art, inside and out, and in my opinion, Nilsson's masterpiece that he was never able to top.
Funny, I was just thinking of posting this, but decided to go through all 19 pages to make sure it was not a duplicate. Last post out of 19 pages...
Great multiple gatefold, great colorful vinyl, great album! I always thought the design on the record looked like layers of rock to complement the rocks on the cover photo, but in collector's circles it's known as "vomit vinyl." (I don't know why.)
A decent image of it is impossible to find, but the three-wide gatefold from the first Woodstock album, based on the photo taken by the late Jim Marshall, does get your attention.
