"Weezie's" Movin' on Up--Isabel Sanford Passes Away

    LOS ANGELES - Actress Isabel Sanford, best known as "Weezie," Louise
    Jefferson on the television sitcom "The Jeffersons," died of natural causes,
    her publicist said Monday. She was 86.

    Sanford died Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she had been
    hospitalized since July 4, said Brad Lemack. Her daughter, Pamela Ruff, was
    at her side, he said.

    I loved that show and every single actor who played in it. One of the greatest sitcoms ever, maybe even eclipsing, "All in the Family." I'm feeling a little sad since I heard the news.

    Sad news. Love The Jeffersons. I didn't realize she was that old (86), though I knew she was older than Sherman Hemsley. Rest in peace... :angel:

    Wow, she was 21 years older than Sherman Hemsley! I guess it's a tribute to both of them that they always seemed a convincing couple.
