It's an absolute travesty we haven't gotten a decent deluxe edition of this album. Enough content has leaked that could be use as a bonus. Hell, I'd be happy with a version with all the songs in their original lengths.

The new Purple Rain is such a wasted opportunity.

Some lable release the unabridged album in 2015. It was loud as hell, but anyway...

The B-seides are really the only bonus content that could go on a proper deluxe release, as there were no other material worked on. Unless they wanted to use my remix. :D

Yep. Roughly 70 songs were worked on during The B-Team session, and we only got a handful. Absolutely disgraceful. EEven just demos of the album's track would have been nice.

Steve Porcarro wont allow a release of Chicago 1945 unless it's in it's original form. B25 would have been the perfect opportunity for that.

If you're happy with what ended up on the remix albums as bonus content, then sure. There isn't a lot of unreleased stuff from Control.

I wish the Cure would release an album of 'greatest hits demos' taking the cream from their recent deluxe editions. I realize it won't happen though.

I'd love to hear a professionally recorded live set from this tour. They were a killer dance band!
    It was a great show!

    Swans - Greed

Only once ever issued on CD properly by K.422, and that with pretty lousy sound and awkward packaging (huge fold-out poster that barely fit in the jewel case with gold ink that absorbed fingerprint oil - good luck finding a copy in the wild that isn't crumpled and ripped. Properly remastered by Young God, but deleting a bunch of songs in favor of alternate versions on the 'Holy Money' album.

What's needed is a complete set, with the original complete 'Greed' (plus single tracks) and the original complete 'Holy Money' (plus single tracks) along with the 'Public Castration Is A Good Idea' live album (only ever issued on CD mastered from an incredibly noisy LP copy) and the 'A Long, Slow Screw' videocassette (never issued on DVD). Plus whatever extraneous demos and live tracks they might have lying around from that period.

Kate Bush - The Dreaming & Hounds of Love - We know that she had plenty of great b-sides and outtakes
Peter Gabriel - III and Security - More live recordings from this era would be welcome
The Police - Synchronicity & Ghost in the Machine - I don't think that these guys had much in the way of outtakes, but I would kill for 5.1 mixes of these
Prince - Sign 'O' The Times in particular
Xtc - The rest of their 80s catalog, Wilson style

I wondered if she had a stab at that. This was the time John Farrar was going a bit 'off' writing stuff like Tied Up which just didn't cut it anymore. I Paralyze is in that category..All production and not much tune. Still, if Olivia did record it, I'd sure like to hear it. I mean, I'm not saying Olivia recorded hundreds of songs everytime she prepared an album, but there must be something in the vaults..

Not to sound crass or wishing anyone evil, but when EVH keels over and Wolf is left to deal with the music, we will probably see something.

There's a 2cd of Saint Julian from 2013 and all 3 The Beat albums were released as 2cd/dvd in 2012.
