All the Supertramp, All The Rush, All The Genesis (done properly this time), Empty Sky - Blue Moves (inclusive..minus Friends), All The Police
That would be it for me. I am making all of these choices because anything Steven touches would be fine by me. Too hard to pick one.

So it seems Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans and Jethro Tull - Minstrel In The Gallery are distinct possibilities. I would also like to have a SW Yes - Fragile and more Gentle Giant; Octopus or In A Glass House.

Wishlist stuff would be Opeth - Blackwater Park, Blue Oyster Cult - Secret Treaties and Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic.

Those Talk Talk albums sound stunning to be as is...or do you just want 5.1?

The Camel catalog is begging for this.

I`m not into the 5.1 thing but I would love a stereo remix of the second Van der Graaf Generator album "The Least we can do is wave to each other". It always seemed to be a poorly done mix to me.

    GENESIS

    All the 1970-1980 albums

These have a great potential for bonus material, for example with the first 3:

Trespass - BBC Sessions 'Nightride' 1970 + Jackson Tapes 1970
Nursery Cryme - BBC Sessions 'Sounds of the 70s' 1971 + 1972, BBC Sessions 'In Concert' 1972. 'Happy The Man'
Foxtrot - BBC Sessions 'Top Gear' 1972. 'Twilight Alehouse'. From Foxtrot Tour onwards there're complete multitracked concerts

And in today's prog, I'd nominate 2 of my very favourites:

    Perfect Beings: 'Perfect Beings'
Big Big Train: 'English Electric - Full Power'.

Both wonderful albums, but suffering from loudness war approach

The 'United States Of America' album has tremendous potential for a surround sound mix.

I'd love to hear what he might do, if given a freehand with the Beatles-Rubber Soul and beyond. It could be a grand experiment to hear it filtered through his expertise.

No, but I can imagine it sounding fantastic in 5.1. Better look out for it now that you mentioned it! ;)

Is there anything really wrong with the original mixes of most of these suggested albums?

It will never happen, but my pick would be any live Led Zeppelin.Second unlikely pick would be Pink Floyd Animals.
