I recently checked out some Dead Can Dance clips on You Tube. I don't know what took me so long to discover what I have been missing. But for "song that brings me to tears"and I mean that in a good way..this takes first prize; I think there are only a few artists that have many many songs that are "heavenly"; Dead Can Dance The Blue Nile Prefab Sprout Cocteau Twins
Midler's The Rose, and Murphy's Wildfire always get me. They have become the butt of jokes over the years for being melodramatic. But as for pure imagery in the lyrics, they definitely hold up. Both songs are well structured, succinct, and generate strong mental visualization with the lyrics.
