I recently watched A Quiet Place and in one scene the main characters danced to Neil Young's Harvest Moon. I'd never heard it before and was quite enchanted by it. Definitely a near future purchase.

Are sad songs pretty much the same as beautiful songs if they affect you emotionally? There are quite a few songs that can bring me to tears.
I am sure someone has already mentioned it but 10,000 Maniacs Verdi Cries. Saw Natalie Merchant at St. Ives Guildhall, Cornwall last weekend of all places and she was absolutely magnificent. Performed Verdi Cries alone at the grand piano and it was breath-taking. Great setlist!
