    Ouch.
I suspect you're crediting Sr and the III.
Honestly, although I find a lot of Jr's attitude annoying, his 70s and early 80s studio albums are filled with a lot of quality traditional honky tonk music that he wrote.

You guys should check out the Jakob Dylan and TheNewNo2 episodes of Guitar Center Sessions (the latter is Dhani Harrison's indie band) - to me it's almost awkward how carefully Nic Harcourt avoids talking about Bob and George, though it's cool he pulled it off. It was almost as if Harcourt was challenging himself to stay away from those subjects.

  6. Didn't Jeff Barry sing the low-pitched "well, come on" part on "Jingle Jangle" by The Archies?

    James Jagger -

What's it like being a thirtysomething great uncle?

How often does your dad beat you at [insert sporting activity here]?

Ever hook up with a girl who slept with your dad first, or whose mother or grandmother did?

What would happen if you and one of Keef's daughters had kids together?

    Can I be your friend?

I had a friend whose dad was something of a Hollywood type, early mid '70s, and she vividly remembers parties where after she went upstairs to bed, the incense came out and whatever else, she remembers being at the top of the stairs with a lot of laughing and giggling coming from downstairs down below.

What a stupid question to ask the musical child of a rock star! :p

Yes, he sang background vocals and played many instruments on a ton of his stuff, as well as being a member of The Raindrops. He even sings multiple tracks of "Sha la la's" at the end of "Brown Eyed Girl" when Bert Berns (his close friend) decided he a needed bigger sounding ending chorus on the track and Van Morrison had already left. Knowing my father's voice I can clearly hear layers of him doing his best Van impression. He's actually great singer and a natural performer. What I meant is he's not a singer/songwriter performer/artist like Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan or Van Morrison, for that matter.

I was lucky to see your dad at a songwriters' event at the Wilshire Ebell in December 1994. People like Alan O'Day ("Undercover Angel") and Bobby Womack ("It's All Over Now") and Burt Bacharach ("Alfie") performed. Can't remember if your dad did, but he definitely got up at the end for a group singalong of "Teach Your Children," which was cool.

I interviewed Max Cavalera's son a couple of years ago. Nothing was off bounds and I managed to get through it without pissing him off (and also found out what Groove Metal bands listen to on the tour bus...Journey and Fleetwood Mac! :))

Cool! Yeah, he's done a bunch of shows for charity or whatnot, where he performed entire sets of his songs with a band. He's really good on stage. You just sit there, song after song, hit after hit, thinking "How did one man write so many damn catchy songs -- on purpose?!"

"Can you get your dad to sign this for me?"
"Can you get your mom to sign this for me?"

(And both would apply to various members of the Taylor, Thompson, Wainwright &c, clans)
