What are the worst rock and roll movies?

Not the big bombs like Sgt Peppers or Stayin' Alive but ones like, Village of the Giants, Rockulla, Streets of Fire, Journey thru the Past, Phantom of Paradise etc?

 

Rock'N'Roll High School, while admittedly a B-movie, isn't too good. But The Ramones concert scene makes it all worthwhile

 

Head ~ by the Monkees was lost time I will never get back....

I like 'Streets Of Fire'! Bit of Ry Cooder & Jim Steinman in there too.

 

Tommy is a horrible mess, but also plays like a time capsule (at least for me as I wasn’t alive then)

Magical Mystery Tour is the film/TV special that severely hurt the Beatles brand. Only the spaghetti scene is worthwhile...

 

The Dave Clark Five "Having A Wild Weekend", their answer to A Hard Day's Night, was pretty lame.

 

I know what John Lydon's answer would be.

 

let it Be is pretty great and while Help! Is over the top, I thought it’s slapstick humor was much more funny than A Hard Days Night

 

Amen to that. The negative should be burned.

 

Eddie & The Cruisers wasn't a bad movie. I remember liking it at age 13 but Eddie & The Cruisers II: Eddie Lives was complete crap.

 

Happened to catch village of the giants last weekend. Not the best movie I ever saw.

 

The music video parts of Help are wonderful. The rest of it is just as much of a formless mess as Magical Mystery Tour.

 

Let it Be until the rooftop.

I love the Magical Mystery Tour movie. Works for me.

 

Not sure if it qualifies, but 200 Motels. I kept falling asleep.

And I love all four!

The lesson? Worst can be great.

Excruciating.

 

I wont be too popular, and I can't believe it's revered.....

 

Admittedly, historically inaccurate on several points. What saves it are the musical performances by Gary Busey who practically channels Buddy Holly and the other actors in the film. I do like this movie because it introduced me to Buddy Holly’s music.

 

What if Ed Wood, Jr directed a rock and roll movie? Maybe he did. (Although Devo comes close to redeeming it.)

 

And then there's this atrocity:
