It feels so long in between the George Harrison and Ringo Starr polls. I'll try to get these polls more often that we go to other categories.

So here is the poll for Ringo Starr's album covers. As per usual there won't be compilation covers or live album covers (and Ringo has a bunch of those). They will get their own polls eventually.

I picked these three Ringo Starr album covers as my favorites:

    Sentimental Journey
    Ringo
    Time Takes Time

"Ringo". With echoes of "Sgt. Pepper".
"Goodnight Vienna". It's just nonsene but mystical combied with the Klaatu is The Beatles thing.
"Ringo Rama". A fun litte drawing. I'm not sure who made it.

It only allowed me 3, so I chose Sent Journey, Ringo & Gn Vienna... the new one Postcards was gonna be my 4th & final pick. Honorable mention to Time takes time.

I have been doing three favorite album covers for each poll. The only exceptions were the McCartney polls where I extended the option to five favorites because of just how many albums Paul has and The Fireman poll to just a single album cover.

The best one might be Sentimental Journey, but my favourite one is Goodnight Vienna. Always loved it since I was a teen.

Without ANY thought given to content, based on covers alone, I was surprised I voted for:
    -Sentimental Journey
    -Bad Boy
    -Y Not

His first three album cover designs were OK.
My reaction to every subsequent release was "he deserves (and can afford) better than that".

I would have to go with Ringo Rama, of only because I got my copy signed by him!

Sentimental Journey - for a special reason.

The top right is my Dad and Nanna & Grandad. My Godfather is in the opposite window.

Basically, that's my family tree captured on an album cover.

I came across this poll as I have recently moved house and was searching the web for a decent quality print to put in my office.

Makes me happy to see others like it, proud as its my family.

Not surprisingly, the poll shows that the most popular covers are on the most popular (i.e. best selling) albums. Is that because people are voting not for the covers but for the albums? Or is it because people bought the albums because they liked the covers? I've always believed profoundly that a good cover helps to sell an album. Of course a bad cover won't stop a good album selling, but a good cover can do a lot to boost sales of any album, good or bad (a fact too often ignored by the creators of albums). Anyway, back to the poll: my vote is best cover Ringo Rama, worst cover is Ringo 2012 (totally stupid after Y Not, though I like the album itself a lot).

I like the 'Ringo' album cover. Some decent tracks on it too.

I kinda like the Postcards cover too. Just wish it had been a better album.

The RINGO album is hands-down the best one....and arguably the only Ringo solo album most people need.

Having said that, VERTICAL MAN works really well for me and features some really good songs, singing and playing. Same goes for TIME TAKES TIME.

And for my own personal reasons, I'll always like STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES. Probably because it was my first Ringo album : )

I've only heard one cover of a Ringo album, so I have to go with that one. David Hentschel's "Startling Music", a cover of the "Ringo" LP. :)
