There was a thread back in 2003 and another in 2007 here, but thought that we'd revisit this subject again.

We are soon to get Max Headroom on DVD :goodie:

But what other shows would you like to see released onto the silver or even the blue disc?

Here's the thing, I bought all of those "SEINFELD" boxes on DVD, when they were each released and I STILL haven't opened one of them yet. I fear the same waste with those, as I did buying the entire "Monty Python's Flying Circus" set. There are just TOO many discs in these sets, in my opinion. Today, with the Blu-ray disc holding so much more information, it would be nice to have all of those "SEINFELD" sets in one nice box, with many less discs involved.

Ahh, the good old days, when wall space was king and space, in general, was something to fill with a new release.

I would also love to see a small batch of those "Courtship Of Eddie's Father" show, come out. Still get a kick out of Bill Bixby talking with Eddie about "whatever" and then that great Harry Nilsson theme comes on. It takes me back to my youth in seconds.

Batman - the 1966-68 version - is still on top of my list.

Next would be the 1950s version of Dragnet, complete and in chronological order.

Hah! ABC's That's Increcible. Haven't thought of that in years, used to love that as a kid. On Sunday nights, right?

I bet it would look so dated now, but it might be a fascinating time trip. Also NBC's 'Real People'.

These cheap lightweight and forgotten shows won't see the light of day on DVD though. Kind of a shame because they probably represent the era as well as any scripted show of the time.

All great choices. Season 1 of St. Elsewhere came out on DVD and that was that. :sigh: Such a wonderful show is now just a memory.

As more than one person has already mentioned, Batman would be high on the list.

I would also like to see Hawaiian Eye.

There are many series that have had some episodes/seasons issued on dvd, but not the entire series. Since we recently had a thread about that subject, I won't repeat any such titles here.

"Speaking of Universal, EW has confirmed news we reported to you a while back, specifically that the studio is going to be releasing the original Bionic Woman TV series on DVD. According to the story, the set is due in October. As expected, The Six Million Dollar Man is also on the way to DVD (TBA)."

I've had the complete BW series and the first 3 seasons of Six Million Dollar Man from overseas for several years now. So, big deal.

Movies? They only made one. Anyway, I'd like to see this as well but apparently the heirs to the Max Shulman estate are rather greedy.

I'd like to see the other classic 50s sitcoms:

Jack Benny Show, Burns and Allen, The People's Choice, December Bride, Our Miss Brooks, Bachelor Father, Love That Bob, My Little Margie, The Gale Storm Show and even though it will never happen, the hilarious classic, Amos 'n' Andy. I'se regusted that this hasn't come out yet.

Oh, yeah. I forgot Whatever Happened to Dobie Gillis (1978) was a pilot and not a movie. Regardless, I'd like it and Bring Me the Head of Dobie Gillis (1988) on DVD in addition to the series.

I second Jack Benny, Burns and Allen, and Love That Bob. I wonder just how many episodes of these shows still exist in the "vaults" though. Anybody know?
