Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here - Japan for U.S. 2-Track CD
    John Lennon Roots LP
Simon and Garfunkel Bookends Mono LP
or Complete Smiths Deluxe LP/CD Box Set

Ebay sale prices vary wildly on these, but on a good day my Red Polydor Abba Visitors could well be my most valuable. Some here might remember that copy on ebay that sol for some $1200 a few months ago!

Same goes for the Abba Blue polars - very unpredictable - I've got Arrival, Super Trouper and Voulez Vous - still looking for '...the Album.'

One disc that I think will always consistently fetch good money would have to be my mint DCC Made in Japan!

Flaming Lips - Heady Fwends (blood filled LPs) - Sold for $1500 new and none have hit the resale market yet. On a side note, one of the LPs (it's a double) is starting to coagulate. :-/

If I don't include my Grateful Dead Europe 72 box, which was pricey to begin with, it would have to be my Mars Volta - Frances the Mute vinyl...

    glow in the dark set...

As far as being worth money it`s nothing impossible to find or even unusual for the average collector.I`d say my Beach Boys Endless Summer and Spirit Of America DCCs,Beatles Abbey Road black triangle.
My sentimental favorites are mostly certain grey area cds because official labels can`t do it right.

You should inform Wayne. He'd probably just find that really cool, though.

Oddly, I think he was informed yesterday. A friend was interviewing him and I told him to pass it along to Wayne... but I'm not sure if he did or not yet.

Its gotta be one of my cherished Michael Bolton or Mariah Carey cds. I'll have to go check eBay for some current price quotes. But whatever they go for now-a-days, I'll never part with them. To me, they are priceless!

The word valuable can be looked at two ways. For me the items that would sell for the most cash are not the most valuable when it comes to music enjoyment. They ones worth the most money would go first if I needed to liquidate stock.

I'm not sure what the most valuable item I have is, but I'm betting that I'd be surprised by it. I imagine it's probably some random CD or 12" single.

From another thread on Beatle Books, and then from searching the net. I've found that my copy of, 'The Beatles Covered', by Joachim Noske, may just be the most valuable item dollar-wise, that I own at the moment.

But who knows what something will bring, monetarily, when you actually attempt to sell it.

As stated above, it's usually the things that one thinks are worthless, that usually turn out to be the most in demand/collectible.

  17. I guess it would be one of my numerous DCC titles. 'Aqualung' maybe or already mentioned by others 'Endless Summer' or 'Spirit of America' perhaps?

Charlie Parker - The Complete Dial Sessions 6-LP set (promo only Warner Brothers w book, slicks, and posters )
Nat "King" Cole - Love Is The Thing (DCC LP - #0009)
Gil Melle - Quintet / Sextet (Blue Note 10")
Velvet Underground & Nico (mint mono with unpeeled banana and hype sticker over torso)

I've heard that this is happening from someone else who has a copy as well. his first disc is also apparently infected, so I guess the procedure they used wasn't sterile. I'm guessing these developments were intentional, since solutions to both these issues are simple ones. (also, weren't they $2500?)

It might have been $2500, I was gifted mine for helping with the project so mine are one of the few that are playable and not in the sealed display.

The original US pressing that was manufactured, then canceled and destroyed before release. I got one from the guy assigned to destroy them. The album wasn't finally released in the US until after The Dreaming when it and Never For Ever were finally released along with the Mini-LP as part of the Looking Back to See Ahead campaign.

That and The Kick Inside on 8 track.

But both are topped by a cassette tape of a phone call she made to me.

I'm not really a collector, so records of mine with any monetary value are there by circumstance more than anything. I'm not even sure which they'd be. I have a mono freak out with the map inside, and a mono tower piper at the gates of dawn (which I vividly remember scaring the crap out of me when this particular copy was played to me at age five).
