What will we see released by the Beatles/Apple for Christmas this year.

Some of my favorite Beatles Product has come out at Christmas time. What could we possibly see, or what would you like to see. I keep hoping for Shea on Blue-ray and for a video collection like we got from Genesis. Any ideas?

 

I think other then another fly by night itunes bootleg series and the new issues of remastered vinyl(Red& Blue,1, Love) if we were going to get anything else by xmas we would have heard something by now. I would think/hope they would save the Shea stuff for it's 50th

 

Not sure there will be a bootleg 1964. But i hope there will ofcourse.

 

I agree that we would have heard of something by now. With the US Albums release and the mono vinyl, I think we are done for now. The big release for 2015 will likely be the live documentary that Ron Howard has in the works (which will include Shea and the Hollywod Bowl)

 

There's a rumor about that vinyl Beatles singles are next? ANd that the BF Record Store Day release is a hint of the new direction. UK/USA is anyone's guess. I'm thinking UK.
If USA, they've got to do the sleeves, right?

People have been saying elsewhere that laws have changed so there isn't a need for more bootleg serieseses. I don't know if it's true, but I haven't seen anyone disagree. I'm hoping the film means they'll put out the Hollywood Bowl album again. I shoulda bought it way back when.

 

Wasn't there an announcement early in the year that a release of the video promos called "1" was planned near the end of the year?

 

This was mentioned in a list of planned releases by Universal, but appears to have been pulled.

I think with the US albums box, the reissue of AHDN, the mono vinyl box and the other upcoming vinyl reissues, Beatles releases for 2014 are done - except for the upcoming reissue of all the albums on SHM-CDs in Japan!

 

Well, if the AAA blue and red double vinyl-rumour is true I'm settled! I think anything else will be in the very long run (live-albums, Let it Be-movie).
Although....maybe the AAA-mono-box was a significant sing that Apple-people actually listen to what the fans are asking...we'll see!

That White Album fountain pen for £349.99 / $529.00 gets me going every time - the height of absurdity. And then we hear about "protecting the legacy" by limiting what is released
